That's a Fancy Feast!

Fancy Feast Cat Food - Grilled Beef Feast in Gravy:  Meat broth, beef, liver, wheat gluten, meat by-products, corn starch-modified, artificial and natural flavors, salt, added color.... and a number of great vitamins...  Would you eat all that for
TWENTY DOLLARS?!?
I WOULD, and I DID.... Silly Ben for thinking I wouldn't take on such an easy bet!!  :-)
$20 richer and maybe, just maybe, a little healthier.  I think I should send this video in to "Man vs. Wild" as an audition tape. Come on Bear Grylls I ate cat food... bring on the raw deer meat, I can take it!!

So I've been thinking...

A couple things have really been on my mind that I need to get out in the open.

First - It was an amazing person who one day thought to him (or her) self, "Hum - I have this peanut butter, I have this chocolate, why don't I magically insert this peanut butter into a perfectly shaped mini cup.  I bet it will be a hit among the people."  And a hit it was Mr. Reese, a HIT. IT.WAS.  I have been living off of frozen (cause everything is better frozen) peanut butter cups and almond M&M's.  This is not a joke.  I am addicted and my stomach hurts.

Second - Standing while working.  It's my new thing.  For a good three weeks or so I have had this back thing.  Hurts to sit, hurts to move, blah blah blah.  I have decided I sit too much and it's not helping.  Now I stand.  I was a little fidgety at first and found myself looking around and staring at things that needed to be dusted.  But it's getting better, my house is dust free and I am confident this will save my back.  My 50 year old self is already thanking me.

Third - Big calves and leather boots with no zipper do not go well together.  I bought a ridiculously expensive pair of boots.  My practical side got the best of me and I exchanged them for an even BETTER, less expensive pair.  But there is no zipper.  I have big calves.  It's a well known fact.  When I tried them on, I had to pull with all my might to get them on and Ben had to pry them off.  I thought my circulation might get cut off.  Don't fear though - leather stretches!  I am confident if I wear them enough they will stretch to my perfect calf size.  This means I am always wearing them.  Always.  With PJ's, with my robe while I am doing my makeup, I even took a nap in them, and right now in fact with my Nike capris. So cute.  I think it's working, I can get them off myself.

Fourth - Shared keys mean family.  I bought this for our new place.  Completely adorable, right?!
A place to put our keys.  This means we will be a little family and our keys will never be lost. Is this what they call nesting?

A Cheese Surprise!

I am a terrible grocery shopper. I never find good deals. I always just buy what I am in the "mood" for and I apparently pay no attention to what I purchase. Case in point, a couple of weeks ago I bought a bag of string cheese. Now, the regular shopper would have noticed a few things on this bag. But the only thing I saw was - string cheese and light. That’s exactly what I need (I am sure I thought) and went on my merry way. As you can see from the picture above I tore a hole in my newly purchased bag of cheese and about every day for a week I have indulged in a mozzarella cheese stick (that’s the white cheese) as a snack. So, imagine my surprise (as the uninformed shopper) when I pull out a cheese stick today and it looks like this. “What the” I thought, “Why is there orange cheese in my cheese stick?” So I look at the bag. See the HUGE white letters that say VARIETY? It explains exactly what is included in my bag of cheese surprises, but I paid no attention because I am a terrible grocery shopper. Now that the bag is half gone I realize that I have a variety of cheese and it’s actually really yummy! If I am lucky enough I will find it again. Oh dear I hate grocery shopping.

Rumbi Will Always Be My #1

I try not to choose favorites. When I list my favorite movies or books I choose a top 5 in no particular order because when my mood changes so does my #1. However, when it comes to a favorite salad -- the BBQ chicken salad from Rumbi Island Grill will always be my #1. Unfortunately, there are not any Rumbi's in Oregon and in the last few months I have been searching high and low for a yummy BBQ chicken salad. I tried everywhere and for a while I thought Claim Jumper had one that may be able to overtake the infamous Rumbi.... Oh was I wrong. Last night Bryce, Ashley and I made a quick stop at Rumbi and my salad was nothing less than AMAZING! A lot of people don't love this place and I don't understand why?! Their salad is perfect and their Rumbi fries have half regular and half sweet potato fries! It does not get better than that. MMMMM... I loved every bite! Thank you Utah for having Rumbi Island Grill!!

Also, thank you everyone for your sweet notes and calls about my dad! I appreciate all your love. He is looking and feeling better every day and will hopefully be able to come home soon.

So excited I can barley stand it....

Ok, I am ALWAYS looking for a healthy treat to indulge my never ceasing sweet tooth. I am so excited about this that I MUST share. I went to my aunts house the other day for a visit and a little jewelry making with mom, aunt and grandma. On our way out my aunt insisted I take a treat for the road. She hands me a small frozen package, the front says Pineapple Sorbet. Naturally, I take it. It wasn't until the next day while working from home that I remembered my frozen treat in the freezer. Now... I hope you are sitting for this... I open the package and what I found in my hands was none other than pineapple sorbet in an actual pineapple shell! This is the cutest thing I have ever seen and it tastes good! I immediately got on the phone to find out where these are from. Of course, Costco. WAIT, don't rush out yet, the only Costco I can find them at is West Valley - I called all over. There are also more flavors than pineapple. The box that I got had Mango-Orange, In an orange peel (70 calories) Lemon, in a lemon peel (68 calories), pineapple (70 calories), Coconut, in a coconut shell (170 calories - not so great for you), and pina colada in a pineapple shell (112 calories - also kinda pushing it). They are called Island Way Sorbet, you must check them out and they would be so fabulous for entertaining. They come 12 in a box and I think the price was about $12.00. You will definitely see these at my next dinner party! Enjoy!
